RAGHAV RAYAN

Raghav Rayan is an Indian composer, conductor, and record producer known for his emotionally immersive film scores and genre-blending sound. A classically trained pianist, Raghav brings a distinctive musical voice to cinema—blending orchestral depth with contemporary textures, with a strong emphasis on restraint, structure, and psychological nuance.

 

He began his musical journey at a young age, training under leading composers in the South Indian film industry. His work spans psychological thrillers, romantic dramas, and experimental narratives, earning recognition for scores that prioritize narrative clarity over spectacle. He has also assisted composer Ghibran on acclaimed films such as Ratsasan (2018) and Athiran (2019), contributing to their atmospheric and tension-driven soundscapes.

 

Raghav composed the score for the Netflix Original psychological thriller Stephen. Critical responses highlighted the score’s compositional maturity, noting its controlled thematic development and disciplined orchestration. Reviewers have pointed to the use of eerie, atmospherically layered textures and measured pacing that deepen the film’s psychological tension, reflecting a deliberate and confident approach to cinematic scoring.

 

Beyond film music, Raghav is exploring filmmaking and acting, with a growing interest in storytelling through direction and performance. His creative writing frequently engages with science fiction, examining themes of time, memory, and technology.

 

He is the founder of 4MMP Conservatoire, where he mentors emerging talents in music production and composition. He also serves as a visiting faculty in Singing at A. R. Rahman’s KM College of Music and Technology, contributing to the development of young vocal artists.
